Delivery method

From discipline models to tracked coordination decisions

  1. 01

    Define coordination requirements

Review model uses, disciplines, available versions and project-specific delivery requirements.

  2. 02

    Assemble and review models

Review discipline inputs and organise the federated model to examine interfaces and openings.

  3. 03

    Manage clash issues

Record issues, identify the responsible discipline, review solutions with the team and update action status.

  4. 04

    Review the coordinated issue

Check model and related drawing updates, documenting remaining issues and delivery limits.

Common questions

Does a three-dimensional model mean the design is coordinated?

No. Coordination requires the relevant discipline models, interface review and a record of issues, decisions and closure updates. Visual presentation alone does not establish that these tasks are complete.

Can AYM work with models prepared by other designers?

Available models can be reviewed for coordination readiness and required updates. Modelling or coordination scope and each discipline’s responsibility for changes are defined before work starts.
